Tomatoes are very delicate fruits with complex flavors. As such they are best stored on the counter top, not in the refrigerator. Refrigeration damages the membranes inside the tomato and causes them to lose flavor and turn mealy.....

I'm lazy so chose to microwave the peeled sweet potato chunks. It didn't take very long and there was no excess moisture in the potatoes so I added about half as much flour as the recipe called for. It was a big hit and the leftover were great and reheated very well. Thanks, Rob!

I made this and left the kale a little courser than a typical pesto. I tossed it with Melina's squash ravioli (sqaures cut in half, to let the squash "leak" out).. YUMM!! It was like a veggie casserole, and had so much flavor! Thanks!

@Shauna, in my experience the WR bacon produces less grease than I would expect from regular bacon I get at the grocery store. However, it definitely still has fat that cooks into grease, and can be used for other cooking applications.

Betty, I'm glad you are enjoying them! They actually use a different variety of strawberry than is typically used for field strawberries in the Spring. This variety was rarely used before in North Carolina, because for whatever reason it doesn't do well in traditional fields here. However, it seems to produce much better in the solar tunnels, which is great because it's a very consistent variety when it grows like it should!

Gary- if the recipe is typed directly into the text field, you shouldn't have any trouble with formatting. If it is copied and pasted from somewhere else (like a word document), the formatting may be stripped out, which could include line breaks. I'll take a look at the coding to try to fix this. Until then, you can either re-enter the line breaks after saving, or just submit it as is (without line breaks), and we can enter them manually from the admin side.
