Come learn about the Triangle's local and organic farm & food scene. Meet local farmers & tour their farms! This weekend marks the 16th annual Piedmont Farm Tour by the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA). With 6 new farms and 40 farms in all, the 2011 Piedmont Farm Tour is has something for everyone! Just a few of the unique treats in store on this year's tour: cooking demonstrations, pick-your-own strawberries, pet baby lambs, wine tastings, ride in a Mulch mobile, watch fiber being spun into yarn, learn how they make goat cheese, and much more. Papa Spud's frequently partners with five of the farms participating in the farm tour, we hope you will check them out or any other farms or events that catch your eye!
