A large field of collard greens at Wise Farm. Gary says his sandy soil in Mount Olive, NC is perfect for collard greens, they just don't grow as well in the denser, clay filled soil further west. All of the collard greens seen in this picture will either go to Papa Spud's members, or will be sold directly through the Wise Farm stand at the farmers market. That's a lot of collards!
