In the summer, I always get La Farm bread in my weekly delivery, along with beautiful ripe tomatoes and fresh basil. This is one of our favorite things to make!

Sliced La Farm Bread (cut it into reasonably sized pieces - any thick artisan bread will do)
Olive oil
Ripe tomatoes, sliced
Fresh Basil, julienned (pesto also works!)
Sliced fresh mozzarella
Fresh black pepper and sea salt

1) Preheat oven to 400
2) Brush both sides of the bread with olive oil and lay slices on cookie sheet
3) Spread pesto or fresh basil on the bread.
4) Top with a layer of tomatoes
5) Lay a slice of fresh mozzarella on top of each tomato.
6) Grind fresh pepper and salt over cheese
7) Bake at 400 until cheese is melted and bread is toasted to your liking!
