Croutons :)

I just put out my Papa Spud's box for tomorrow's delivery.  I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of local strawberries, spinach, and sunburst tomatoes, but I just had to share how I used up the last rest of the garlic cheddar bread from my delivery two weeks ago.  The last few slices had gone unnoticed in the back of my fridge for over a week.  When I retrieved them yesterday, I was tempted to throw them away.  And then it occurred to me that they would make great croutons!  I have never made croutons from scratch, but I discovered it is super easy.  All you do is brush both sides of the bread with melted butter.  Slice the bread into small cubes, season with salt, and whatever herbs you would like-- I used dill weed.    15-17 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees on a shallow baking sheet and voila.... tasty croutons!  I sprinkled them on tonight's salad of spinach and daikon radishes.  Perfection!
