Turnips |
Ingredients:
1 lb of turnips
2 cups of apple cider vinegar
2 - 3 gloves chopped garlic
1 teaspoon dill
1/2 tablespoon course salt

Method:
Heat the vinegar on the stove top until steamy. Add garlic, dill and salt. You can improvise with additional herbs. Slice the turnips thin and place in a quart mason jar. Pour hot vinegar mixture over the turnips. Close the jar with a lid. Allow to come to room temperature then place in the refrigerator. They are ready to eat the next day. Crunchy and sour - MMMMMM This recipe works well for green cherry tomatoes, okra and whole green beans, too.
