Sweet & Savory Brussel Sprouts

Bacon |
1 bag of fresh brussel sprouts
2 tbs. butter
1 tbs. sugar
2 tbs. chopped bacon pieces

Optional
1-2 tbs. chopped pecans or whole pine nuts
1-2 tbs. dried cranberries

Remove stem ends and tough outer leaves from brussel sprouts. Steam until just tender. Melt butter in saute pan and add sugar. Toss steamed brussel sprouts with butter/sugar. Add in bacon and nuts and/or cranberries if including. Toss until everything is coated. (You can adjust quantities of all ingredients to get desired composition.)
