Stewed Apples

1) core and slice 10-12 apples (you don't need to peel and use can use all your ugly ones up. they can also be any type and you can mix up the types)
2) place in large stew pot
3) sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over apples
4) add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
5) add juice of 1 lemon
6) bring to simmer over med. then turn down to low and simmer for about an hour
7) right before serving at 2 tbls. butter
