Support Local Farmers:

We work directly with local, NC farmers to deliver the freshest food from their fields to your door!

• Unlike national brands that ship produce around the country from large agricultural operations, we work directly with the small farmers in our area. Many of the same farmers you see out at local markets. They harvest fresh for us every week, and we carefully pack your box the same day that you receive it. We use our own delivery vehicles and staff to keep everything fresh, safe, and handled with care. This is how local is supposed to work!

Aside from fresher, higher quality food, one of the big benefits of ordering food while it is still in the fields is the ability to coordinate meals based on your weekly needs and desires! Every week we compile a list of suggested recipes and meals that you can order for the upcoming week. Papa Spud's portions out the fresh items from our farm partners, or anything else that you do not have on hand, so that you get meals ready to cook, without any excess or waste. It is a much more efficient system that saves everyone money, avoids trips to the grocery store, and also helps local farms prepare for upcoming demand and needs!

	Picadillo de Abuela Picadillo is a flavorful and hearty dish commonly found in Latin American and Caribbean cuisine. This savory-sweet beef stew, is made with local ground beef from Firsthand Foods, onions, garlic, tomatoes, carrots, raisins, and olives for a sweet/briny twist! The flavors are perfectly balanced, creating a delicious but easy meal for anytime of year! Picadillo is versatile and can be served over rice, in tacos, or as a filling for empanadas, making it a beloved comfort food across various cultures! $3.50 per serving
	Strawberry, Chicken, & Pecan Salad over Baby Spinach This strawberry, chicken, and pecan salad is the perfect entree salad for spring! Fresh local, strawberries are at their peak, coming in bright red and super sweet as the season continues to mature! The fresh berries are combined with crunchy pecans, avocado, sliced shallots, and plenty of feta cheese over a bed of baby spinach. Add on grilled or pan fried chicken breast tenders, and drizzle over your own homemade balsamic vinaigrette! Fresh, healthy, seasonal, and delicious! $3.50 per serving
	Orzo in Beefy Tomato Cream Sauce with Spinach This one pot meal is super easy to put together any night of the week, and is filled with comforting flavors! Start out with a smooth tomato sauce combined with ground beef, onion, seasoning and cream. The orzo cooks right inside the pot, then finish it with shredded parmesan cheese and baby spinach for some color and texture. This is one the family will ask for again and again! $3.50 per serving
	Greek Tomato, Feta, Zucchini Fritters with Tzatziki These Mediterranean veggie fritters are packed with flavor and offer a variety of delicious serving options! They make a perfect spring appetizer. 	Wine-Braised Beets with Goat Cheese Grits Simply roasting beets are delicious but wine-braising them takes them to the next level. Just a little red wine brings out the sweet earthiness of the beets and develops a gorgeous red sauce. Creamy goat cheese grits are the perfect accompaniment to these pretty red beets!
