Support Local Farmers:

We work directly with local, NC farmers to deliver the freshest food from their fields to your door!

• Unlike national brands that ship produce around the country from large agricultural operations, we work directly with the small farmers in our area. Many of the same farmers you see out at local markets. They harvest fresh for us every week, and we carefully pack your box the same day that you receive it. We use our own delivery vehicles and staff to keep everything fresh, safe, and handled with care. This is how local is supposed to work!

Aside from fresher, higher quality food, one of the big benefits of ordering food while it is still in the fields is the ability to coordinate meals based on your weekly needs and desires! Every week we compile a list of suggested recipes and meals that you can order for the upcoming week. Papa Spud's portions out the fresh items from our farm partners, or anything else that you do not have on hand, so that you get meals ready to cook, without any excess or waste. It is a much more efficient system that saves everyone money, avoids trips to the grocery store, and also helps local farms prepare for upcoming demand and needs!

	Italian Style Drunken Noodles with Sausage and Peppers Delicious Italian pasta dish featuring sweet red bell peppers, basil, and of garden fresh tomatoes! The sausage comes to us from Firsthand Foods, and is combined in a silky "drunken" noodle sauce mixed with wide noodles. Fresh parsley and basil elevate dish, perfect for any night of the week! $3.69 per serving
	Thai Cucumber & Peanut Salad Delicious salad featuring crisp cucumbers, matched with Thai flavors. Lime juice, red onions, and cilantro give it a nice kick, that goes great with the nuttiness of the peanuts and the refreshing crunch of the cucumbers. An easy dish that you will make again and again. $3.50 per serving
	Ethiopian Eggplant & Black Eyed Peas Delicious dish featuring local, mini eggplants from Lees Produce. The eggplant is roasted for smooth creamy result, and combined with spices, potatoes, and black eyed peas for a delicious and filling meal any night of the week! Super easy to prepare, healthy, and full of flavor! $3.50 per serving
	Orzo in Beefy Tomato Cream Sauce with Spinach This one pot meal is super easy to put together any night of the week, and is filled with comforting flavors! Start out with a smooth tomato sauce combined with ground beef, onion, seasoning and cream. The orzo cooks right inside the pot, then finish it with shredded parmesan cheese and baby spinach for some color and texture. This is one the family will ask for again and again! $3.50 per serving
	Puerto Rican Chicken Sofrito Stew Beautiful and comforting dish packed with flavor! Sofrito is a delicious sauce that comes in many forms throughout Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American cooking. This Puerto Rican version combines onions, garlic, bell peppers, cilantro, and tomatoes with cumin and annato powder. The sofrito is then stewed with beer and Joyce Chicken Drumsticks.
