NC Catfish


We have delicious, North Carolina Catfish fresh from the Cape Fear River on the order page this week! If you think you don't like catfish, then you have never tasted wild-caught North Carolina catfish before. Perfectly fried, Southern-style catfish is mild, flavorful and a true delicacy. The recipe below for Catawba Pecan Crusted Catfish appeared in the March 2014 issue of Our State magazine. Serve it with some creamy coleslaw. It's the perfect complement to this meal. If you prefer your fish with a little more heat, try the recipe for Southern Fried Catfish-- fillets are dipped in Tabasco before being coated with a cornmeal mixture and fried in piping hot oil. The result is delicious catfish with a crispy skin, crunchy shell, and a succulent center!
