Support Local Farmers:

We work directly with local, NC farmers to deliver the freshest food from their fields to your door!

• Unlike national brands that ship produce around the country from large agricultural operations, we work directly with the small farmers in our area. Many of the same farmers you see out at local markets. They harvest fresh for us every week, and we carefully pack your box the same day that you receive it. We use our own delivery vehicles and staff to keep everything fresh, safe, and handled with care. This is how local is supposed to work!

Aside from fresher, higher quality food, one of the big benefits of ordering food while it is still in the fields is the ability to coordinate meals based on your weekly needs and desires! Every week we compile a list of suggested recipes and meals that you can order for the upcoming week. Papa Spud's portions out the fresh items from our farm partners, or anything else that you do not have on hand, so that you get meals ready to cook, without any excess or waste. It is a much more efficient system that saves everyone money, avoids trips to the grocery store, and also helps local farms prepare for upcoming demand and needs!

	Smashed Potato Salad with Chorizo & Scallions This delicious Mexican style potato salad is a full meal! Red potatoes are roasted and combined with delicious, local Mexican style chorizo from Firsthand Foods. Mexican chorizo is a ground pork sausage mixed with lots of spice and seasoning. We use the cooked off chorizo oil to make a chorizo aioli sauce instead of mayo for the potato salad. Bring Chorizo and all together with some fresh scallions and a sprinkling of ancho chile powder! $3.50 per serving
	Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup Perfect for fall and soup season, this thick and creamy potato soup is super easy to prepare, and packed full of flavor! Potatoes, spices, fresh herbs, cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon will keep everyone in the family satisfied! Set the slow cooker on low for about ~7 hours cook time, or speed it up on high for a ~4 hour cook time - either way, you can set it and forget it until it is time for dinner! $3.50 per serving
	Poulet a la Moutarde, Chicken w/ Mustard This French chicken dish is rich and truly delicious. First coat the chicken in dijon mustard, brown thighs on both sides, then stir in white wine and onions for a rich creamy mustard sauce. A classic French take on very simple but quality ingredients. Serve with a side of rice and seasonal veggies. $3.50 per serving
	Keema Aloo (South Asian Beef and Potato Stew) Keema Aloo is a hearty and flavorful South Asian dish made with ground meat (often lamb, beef, or chicken) and potatoes simmered in a rich, spiced tomato-based gravy. Our version features local, grass-fed ground beef, from Moore Brothers Farm! The combination of beef, potatoes, and aromatic spices in a savory tomato gravy, make a comforting and satisfying meal that brings together warmth and a balance of flavors! Perfect for family dinners or special gatherings, this dish is a staple in many households, celebrated for its bold taste and homestyle appeal. $3.50 per serving
	Chicken and Broccoli Lo Mein Skip the greasy takeout, and make your own delicious Chicken and Broccoli Lo Mein at home! Featuring local broccoli and carrots, as well as Joyce Chicken Breasts, this Chinese Lo Mein can be put together in the same time it takes to order takeout, and it is healthier and tastier! A delicious and quick meal, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner! $3.50 per serving
	Creamy Broccoli and Mushroom Alfredo This dish combines tender broccoli florets and earthy mushrooms in a rich, creamy alfredo sauce over pasta. Alfredo sauce is super easy to make at home, there is no need to purchase jars at the grocery store! This dish is comforting, packed with flavor, and very easy to put together. Perfect for a busy fall night! $3.50 per serving
	Chorizo & Potato Tacos with Guacamole Taquero This taco-stand style dish is packed with authentic flavors and fresh produce, and is super easy to make. It features Mexican chorizo from Firsthand Foods, and red potatoes! The chorizo spices and oils are soaked up beautifully by the potatoes during cooking. The hearty filling is then topped with a fresh, authentic avocado and tomatillo sauce from Northern Mexico, where green salsas predominate.
