Andouille sausage from Firsthand Foods comes together with black eyed peas, bold spices, chiles, and fresh local kale in a slow cooker dish that is super easy to make, but full of flavor. The ingredients take just a short time to prepare, then toss them in the slow cooker, and come home to a meal that will feed the whole family!

Celery (2 ribs)
Yellow Onion (1 cup)
Dried Guajillo and New Mexico Chiles (2 ct.)

You Provide:
Garlic (3 cloves)
Bay leaf (1 ct.)
Ground Cumin (1 tsp.)
Dried Thyme (1 tsp.)
Paprika (1 tsp.)
Salt (1 tsp.)
Pepper (1/2 tsp.)
Chicken broth (2 cups) or sub water
Cayenne Pepper, optional
