Watermelon radishes are an heirloom variety of daikon radish, originating from China. Cut them open and you'll be struck by the vibrant pink and orange coloring, similar to the inside of a watermelon! Watermelon radishes are larger the typical radish, and have a mild, slightly peppery, slightly sweet flavor. They go great in salads with citrus and fresh lettuce, on toasts with goat cheese, pickled, or combine with cooked greens!
