Bunched Red Beets


We are seeing a nice spring offering of local bunched beets from Lee's Produce next week! Also known as "blood turnips" because of their bright red roots, cooked beets have a soft buttery texture. Beets can be eaten raw or prepared in a variety of ways, including roasting which seems to bring out their earthy sweetness.
