Carolina Grits | Ronaldo's Polenta

1 cup of Carolina Grits
1 tsp. Salt
4 cups water
1 Tbsp. butter
Combine all ingredients in a pot, then bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Drop down to a simmer, and cook for approximately 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add water if the mixture becomes too thick. Let cool.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place ingredients in buttered 8-inch square pan. Stir with fork until blended. Bake uncovered for 50 minutes. Run a fork through it and bake 10 more minutes. Serve with butter and Parmesan cheese, or with favorite tomato, meat, or vegetable sauce. Serves 6. | |
